Panama Enforcing New Requirements for Border Runs
Panama has been making it more difficult for perpetual tourists doing their border runs from Costa Rica. People heading to Panama for a quick visit in order to get another 90 days on their Costa Rican entry need to be prepared that the Panamanian authorities have been requiring:
- Negative Covid Test (Panamá now accepts either a PCR or antigen test)
- $500 USD in cash
- Minimum 2-day, prepaid hotel reservation
- Return ticket to Costa Rica (bus or plane)
