Vacation of a Lifetime!

IF you are looking for a place to stay while in Costa Rica. Look no further! TDS was wonderful, quite, clean and totally relaxing. If you are concerned about the distance to the beach, don't be. The walk down the jungle path is short and easy. The beach is AWESOME. Some mornings no one else was there but us. We walked and/or rode bikes into town every day. The road is busy, bumpy and dusty but if you are the outdoor type, you won't mind the ride. The hosts, Brendan and Angie, are super nice and are a wealth of information and help. We stayed a week in the area. It didn't rain the entire time. The banking system is horrific, so find a way to manage your money without them.
We can't wait to go back next summer.

When my girlfriend and I were mapping out our ten day trip to Costa Rica we had ambitious plans to do jungle trekking, surfing, scuba diving, zip-lining, rafting, etc -- that was before we stumbled upon Tierra de Suenos. Upon arrival our original itinerary was rendered completely useless. Instead, we spent each day sleeping-in on the ultra-comfortable beds, in a near comatose state, aided by the noticeably higher levels of oxygen from the thick rainforest around us. Then after a leisurely breakfast with our wonderful hosts, Brendan and Angie, we took off for the beach where we basked in the sun on virtually empty beaches for the entire day. Each evening we went to one of the local restaurants that Brendan and Angie recommended. I can say that, without a doubt, the food there was the biggest surprise of our trip. To this day, my mouth still waters thinking about the grilled red snapper, or the seafood "ron-down" chowder. Add to all that, the charm of Tierra de Suenos, the exotic birds, Pedro the Gardener, sloths, the friendly Costa Rican people, and the breathtaking landscape, and you've got an unforgettable vacation.

After 10 days, my battery was re-charged like I can't even remember. Going back to work, I was like a 1st grader on his first day of school.

I know I missed out on all those great outdoor activities that I was originally planning on doing, but I was more than content spending everyday trying to break my body-surfing record. AWESOME!
