Cahuita National Park
Cahuita National Park is one of the most beautiful protected areas in Costa Rica. It is also one of the oldest national parks of Costa Rica! It was founded in 1970 to protect the coral reef. Because of its white sand beaches, coconut palms, turquoise seas and coral reef this is a tour you won’t want to miss!
Tour Details
Grab your shoes and let’s go on a Cahuita National Park hike! We will pick you up at your hotel and drive 30 minutes from Puerto Viejo to Cahuita National Park. The tour will start at the Kelly Creek ranger station; this is the entrance that is closest to the center of Cahuita. From here, our naturalist tour guide will use his sharp senses to spot animals. You’ll be sure to make new friends along the road! Monkeys, sloths, toucans and raccoons are all common residents.
The hike goes through as far as the Rio Suarez. If you'd like a longer hike that takes you on an 8km hike through the entire park you can choose that option.
There will be an opportunity for a swim so bring your swimsuit!
