When is the trial and is it open to the public? I would like to see the community stand together and unite to help send the message to the Officials to put this guy away for as long as possible with no early release or parole.

So shout it to the RAPIST, not us, that there is no excuse for what he is doing and should be behind bars. If “he” is of your own skin color/demographics, I understand, but cannot condone, your sensitivity to the matter, for fear of generalized prejudice.

However, my question is: why have ALL Costa Rican newspapers chosen (been asked to?) cover up his name? Of course, they fear it would hurt the area tourism if it were publicized there is a seriel rapist loose. But would it will be worse if word gets out that such actions go unchecked and unreported “on the Caribbean side” for years, and area businesses are behind such cover-ups?

Would one or two more patrolmen in a 10 mile stretch keep him from raping? I think not. What were the local political dynamics at work that kept him from being convicted long ago? That is the key question.

Laughing my ass off! I’m not sure it matters if he’s 20 years old or 50 years old, or if he has a job as a this or a that…the point is, and unfortunately for the victims, their friends, their families, and their communities, he IS a rapist. He has served years and years in prison and was released from prison –but tragically he continued to rape, assault, and do many other violent acts towards women. Is he also being charged with attempted robbery of several other people?? So really, does it matter what his demographics are –whether he is white or black, job or unemployed, etc..??? There is NO excuse for violence and no excuse for rape. I don’t care if your uncle or your father raped you as a child, there is NO excuse for violence or rape.

Do you think Rolando Brown’s family was negligent for knowing about his criminal activities of raping and terrorizing women –but they did nothing about it? Do you think his family should have forced Rolando Brown to go to therapy or forced him to go into a private psychiatric hospital? Do you feel it was negligent of them to stand by and do nothing while he repeatedly raped and beat dozens of women for years?

yeah, but it’s public information at this point. clearly the evidence against him is strong enough to keep him in prison until the trial, and let’s face it, there are people who deny the Holocaust.

Rolando Brown is the accused serial rapist, and that is the cold hard truth until he’s officially “convicted” –which I hope and pray is very soon.

I am curious why the identity of this person is not being revealed. I have spoken with local business people who wish to stay in complete denial of this. Out of fear of retribution or fear for their businesses?? Something’s not right here. What kind of power are we talking about? Neither the Tico Times, a.m. Costa Rica, or Talamanca Times are revealing a name. I will think twice about coming back to PV if such collusion occurs to protect the wealthy and powerful but SICK.
