Puerto Viejo Satellite Traffic Growth for the past 12 months
July was a great month for Puerto Viejo Satellite — not only did we hit a record for number of visitors, surpassing 10,000 visitors in one month for the first time, and a record number of page views, over 22,000, but we are now #1 when you search for Puerto Viejo on Google.

Of course, you’ve known we’ve been the most comprehensive and up to date site for Puerto Viejo for a long time but Google just took a little while to catch up.

If your business still isn’t listed on the Puerto Viejo Satellite map, you’re missing a lot of potential customers. You can add it in a few minutes on the List Business page.

If you’re already listed, you can upgrade your listing to include a weblink to your website for just $75 a year. You can upgrade here.  Upgraded listings not only get a weblink to their site but have lots of other benefits.

    Wow!!! What an article http://www.ticotimes.net/topstory.htm
PVS never writes about this side of the PV.

Well you can hardly accuse Puerto Viejo Satellite of only reporting good news; unfortunately the Crime & Punishment category (see link on left) is one of most written about topics. This certainly reflects the serious problem this community has with crime and with the inadequate criminal justice system.

Our problem here is simply resources - this news site is maintained in my spare time as a community service so I don’t have the time to dedicate to it that I’d like. I’d love if some volunteers would step forward to write stories about our community.

If anyone is interested please write me at editor@talamancanews.com

    Thanks, Doug

I just spent two weeks in Puerto Viejo area. Great place!. I can see this place becoming nice retirement place for many retired Americans.

When I was there I was looking for property to purchase. I checked with couple real estate agencies, however the level of their service was very poor. I also checked your website for recommendations in that area but found no one. Would you recommend good real estate agent in that area?

    Thanks,

    Roc G.

Hi Roc — There are 7 real estate companies listed on the site on the map page including 4 that we consider Puerto Viejo Top Picks:

If you’d like to ask others their experiences of using the agents, you can try posting a question on the forum.

I have been following your site for about the year. I like the articles you write about local issues and events. One thing is missing is the stories of expats who live in PV and their perspective and experiences living there. Maybe you could ask the expats to write their stories. How moving to this far away place changed their live, if they are happier and if they would recommend that to other people living in US and Canada.

I visit PV about 5 times a year. I currently live in the US and consider moving to CR. I also know many people who are thinking about making this huge move. Something like this would be really helpful. If someone has the story please send that to me I’d love learn more about living there. My email is puravida1964@gmail.com
